Q: I have a controller card
with a built in BIOS (Promise
2300, Caching Controller, SIIG,
etc.) why do I crash ("Possible
Buggy BIOS" message or
system halts)?
A: The built in
BIOS on your card must be diabled
in order for the LBA Pro to
function properly. If
you are using a caching controller
it must be set up for mode zero.
The LBA Pro will run with these
controllers if they are set
up as standard non-translating
IDE controllers. The controller
card cannot be set up to perform
the translation that the LBA
is supposed to do. Contact
the controller card manufacturer
for instructions on how to properly
set up your card.
